Webinar - Your Birding Learning Journey
Overview
In this first of two webinars, your hosts will use Zoom interactive tools to gather BirdsSA members’ input on their birding learning journeys. What do you need to know to be a successful birder? Where do you get help?
Who should attend?
All BirdsSA members are welcome as it’s a chance to practice your Zoom skills as much as discuss birding. If you can’t get to the General Meetings, this is a chance to mix virtually with other members. If you are new to Birds SA, you can discover more about birding.
Webinar hosts
John Hatch and Tim Boote.
Date/Time
Thursday October 10th, 2024. Trigger the Zoom link early at 6.45pm for a chance to troubleshoot and to practice using online tools with the hosts. The webinar starts at 7pm.
Where?
Online webinar via Zoom. Things you can do to prepare:
- While you can attend via your smart phone, you’ll find a larger device like a computer or electronic pad will make participation easier.
- Why not host a few Birds SA friends and have them sit around your computer screen or even cast the event to your Smart TV?
- Download the Zoom app to your mobile phone, pad or desktop/laptop computer well-before the start of the event.
https://zoom.us/download - Check your Zoom account still works (if you have one) or create one if you don’t. An account is not required to attend, but having one ready to go means you can test your camera and audio well in advance of the event.
